recently I was in KL doing some surveys and found some options...
Of course being one of the busiest shopping centre in Kuala Lumpur,
you'd expect some pretty high rates...
Well here's my top 3 "budget" around Bukit Bintang
1. Replica Inn
This hotel is located very near Jalan Alor and less than 5 minutes walk from Sungei Wang.
From my preview the rooms were small but clean but quite good rates.
Pros:
- relatively cheap
- tv with limited channels
- wi-fi available (unstable reception)
- centrally located from the party spots and shopping malls
- clean bathrooms
Cons:
- rooms are very small
- no carpeting
2. V'la Garden Hotel
located near Jalan Alor, this is probably one of the cheapest room I could find.
A standard or deluxe room can be found for RM100 - 130 a night..
Pros:
- relatively cheap
- tv with limited channels
- pretty clean
- breakfast included
-clean bathroom with shower
- wi-fi available (not comprehensively though)
Cons:
- rooms are small (imagine a bed and walking space)
- a bit further out from shopping malls but within walking distance
3. Hotel Rae
The exterior looks nice and welcoming, and is conveniently located.
was quoted between RM110-150 for a promotional period
Pros:
- relatively cheap
- tv with limited channels
- wi-fi available
- centrally located from the party spots and shopping malls
Cons:
- rooms are small
- interior a bit dingy
another worthy mention is Sempurna hotel,
Pros:
- relatively cheap
- wi-fi available
- cleanCons:
- rooms are very small
and for those that don't mind a bit further out, there are two around Berjaya Times Square that isn't too bad
A. Beltif Hotel
pretty new place and was on offer when I checked it out
Pros:
- relatively cheap
- wi-fi available
- clean
- spacious room
- some rooms has a balcony
- requires key card for entry (better security)
- very new (just over a month)
Cons:
- a bit further from BB area
- nearer the highway
especially if you book early enough through travel websites such as Agoda or Asiarooms
