Siem Reap: Places to Stay

Siem Reap is actually one of my favourite places..
It's a beautiful city with beautiful vistas.

Anyhow, if you find yourself in Siem Reap
and in need of a place to stay,
here are two places I've tried...
maybe it is to your taste.

First is the highly recommended Green Town House Guesthouse
pretty popular with backpackers..
for USD10 a night I got a two bed bedroom, with air-cond, and TV

even includes a keycard

The bathroom is pretty clean
but no hot water for the shower

The room I stayed in was in pretty condition
except for some need for minor repairs

What is great about the place
is that they have a restaurant, pool table, bicycles to rent,
computers with internet and wifi.
biggest con for me about the place,
was how steep the steps were
good thing my room was located only on the first floor

Green Town House Guesthouse
St 21 #0182,Wat Bo, Salakamrouek Commune

TV: MANY CHANNELS
air cond: YES
fridge: NO
wifi: YES
Restaurant: YES
Cost: USD10

Another less known place is Chhorvivorn Guesthouse
located near Pub Street
but far enough to be quiet,
this little guesthouse looks more like a mini hotel
They were undergoing some renovations while I was there
but were cautious not to disrupt the guests

The toilet was a little compact but is clean and with a heater

CHHORVIVORN Guesthouse
701 Street 06, Siem Reap, Cambodia
TV: MANY CHANNELS (Thai & Cambodian)
air cond: YES
fridge: NO
wifi: GOOD
Cost: USD13 (USD7 for fan room)
