During my first night in Cebu City, I decided to take a walk...
without a destination in mind, it was just to feel out the place.
From the busyness of Colon Street it quickly became a quieter area
and as the sun started setting it started getting dark.
Suddenly in the distance I spotted a towering monument...
up til that point had not seen any information about the place
guess it is not one of the popular tourist spots...
eventually found the plaque and read what it was all about,
was a pleasant surprise as it was an unusually huge monument.
and it was located right next to an interesting looking fire station
I took it as a sign of a good start for the rest of the trip....
