VMS18 had it all...
Guess it is so sucessful that they already have VMS19 scheduled in April.
So was it that good?
There were certainly some things that they need to smoothen out before next year...
First thing they have to consider is their ticketing system....
One day 1 it is expected that you may face some lines....
One day 1 it is expected that you may face some lines....
They should have taken the cue from cinemas...
Instead of different lines for the same thing...
Why didn't they have one line that leads to the different counters...
It may look longer... but it would be fair system...

It may look longer... but it would be fair system...
with no line cutting and less need for constant adjustments
It was a good idea to sell the entrance at RM15 for 3 days entrance
compared to the RM10 for a 1 day entrance
compared to the RM10 for a 1 day entrance
Instead of letting the ticket holders to head straight in..
They are forced to line up again...
They are forced to line up again...
Even with the rains... the lines were still long...
The waiting caused for much restlessness
Even though the event may be good....
unless the public have the patience to put up with buying a ticket,
the event would be a failure in comparison.
My friend gave up after going through all the trouble of getting there...
I am sure he was not the only one.
I am guessing the reason to line up even though you had a ticket
was so that you could fill up the ticket for the lucky draw...
It would be easy to dedicate one line for re-entry
and notice for guests to fill up the details before hand...
So instead of 20 minutes the whole thing could be done in 2...
The event grounds is surprisingly vast and tightly packed.
The challenge with this is co-ordinating the different events
With no programme for the guests to refer to...
many good things would go unnoticed.
There was an area that was used for extreme sports...
But I missed all of it as I was never there at the right time.
Even with their lucky draw...
It was the norm for the emcee's to call the winners...
why? because no one even knows what is happening on the "main stage"
They even had deejays
which is a nice addition but largely gone unnoticed
It is so easy to get distracted by the much bigger and louder things...
like the monster trucks... which was a big crowd favourite
So was it so bad that I have to gripe so much?
Actually no... I actually enjoyed it more than most Motor Shows...
It is just unfortunate that there were so many challenges in the way of fully enjoying the event...
Anyway here are some of the photod from around the event.
It is all about the cars....
It is a carshow after all...
with accesories to round it off....
The visitors were a from a wide range of people...
Some were pure car enthusiasts
you can see them taking selfies with all the cars...
then there were there just to have a look around...
usually group of teens or families...

Then of course there were the photographers...
some came just for the babes
so cute....
who wouldn't like that...
And just to close it out as I began...
some photos from the drift...actually it is the parade before the finals...
I look forward to VMS19 and hope they get these small hiccups out of the way
