This is my experience on how to get to Siem Reap from Bangkok.

Or how I like to call it “Getting to Siem Reap, the hard way”

As stated in a previous post, Life is full of choices…

And if you had to choose, fly to Siem Reap. 
It may cost more but saves you headache, time and inconvenience.

How to Get There: Maeklong Market

 This is for those interested to visit MaeKlong Market.. just outside of Bangkok.

If intending to go visit, this will be a whole day trip especially if you want to photograph the train passing through the market. I do not doubt there are other ways to get there (taxi, tuk tuk) but this will be the cheapest and a well spent relaxing day via train...

For a country capital, Bangkok has many affordable places to rest.

A quick google search on Khao San, and you repeatedly find the tag 

“A mecca for budget backpackers in Southeast Asia”. 

And it is no wonder, as soi Khao San reflects Bangkok 

as much as Glee reflects American high schools.

 After 17 hours on the train,

the last thing you want is to wander around aimlessly...

As with any backpacker to Bangkok,

the first place to head to is  Thanon  Khao San...

Bangkok: Isn't it Ironic?

 Even as I type this out, Alanis Morisette's Ironic plays in my mind.

A group of KL-ians decide to play it safe and avoid the floods in Bangkok,

only to face more flood waters than they would have seen any where in Bangkok.

Perhaps it is true that these are signs of the end of the world, 

when the world itself starts rejecting its inhabitants 

who have blantanly abused and taken her for granted.

And I would imagine that Mother Nature, like any woman, is a vengeful 31+c I-1
